Technology Student Association

Welcome to Wilson's Technology Student Association(TSA) chapter website. TSA is a national organization aimed at students interested in technology. TSA gives students the oppurtunity to pursue academic challenges among their friends with similar goals and interests. Students in the TSA program will learn leaderships skills that will follow them to their professional lives.

The official TSA motto is "Learning To Live In A Technical World". TSA allows students to explore the rewarding aspects that technology offers. Student's in our program study engineering, computer aided design, architecture, graphic design, web design, and video production. All of these skills can be used later in life at the professional level. TSA is a building block for enriching the minds of young people, so that they may become more aware of their full potential.

News/Announcements

Wilson’s Technology Student Association had a very successful day at the Regional Conference on Saturday (2/11.) This was the first level of competition, and first chance for students to test the countless hours of hard work they have logged throughout this school year. As a result of the Regional Conference, Wilson has qualified 24 students for the State Conference, which is held at Seven Springs Resort in late April. The overall results can be found below. If you have the chance, please congratulate these students, as they are truly deserving of the recognition.

In addition, students who receive a failing grade in any one of the four marking periods are ineligible for TSA competitions. Students who have a failing grade on the day of a competition immediately become ineligible for the competition. Students who fall into the category of academic ineligibility may not attend State or National level competitions. Students who fall into any of the above categories during the course of the school year will not be refunded monies paid as dues to the club or for competitions.

Personal Conduct Requirement: All Wilson Technology Student Association members are required to follow the Wilson Code of Conduct at all times. Any student who breaks this agreement or acts in a way that is unbecoming of the club and/or Wilson School District is suspect to immediate removal from TSA. According to the Code of Conduct, breaches of the Code will result in student discipline.

Imagine an activity so captivating that your students spend hours working on it after school for weeks at a time. That’s what happens when TSA members engage in TSA’s competitions. Only TSA members have the opportunity to compete at exciting state conferences and then at the annual National Conference. Expert judging by technology educators and industry representatives inspires the best from participants. Members are rewarded not only with medals or trophies, but also with memories of the camaraderie and the challenge of a TSA Conference.
